Vinci, personaggio dalle mille sfumature e ambiguità, la cui vicenda personale ben si presta a questo genere di
operazione creativa.
Questa inedita coproduzione Starz e BBC si concentrerà proprio su uno di questi lati
“oscuri” della storia di Da Vinci: la sua giovinezza e periodo trascorso alla corte dei Medici, potenti
signori di Firenze, in un’atmosfera di torbidi inganni e pericolose macchinazioni per la conquista del potere in
Italia.
Goyer ci presenterà un Da Vinci mai raccontato, geniale e carismatico ma allo stesso tempo grande
spadaccino e uomo d’azione, invischiato in cospirazioni e misteri millenari che coinvolgono un Vaticano potente e
corrotto e antichissime confraternite segrete.
Buona parte della serie sarà ambientata in una Firenze
ricostruita alla perfezione per l’occasione.
Il cast di tutto rispetto e i grandi nomi coinvolti nella
produzione e nella scrittura non lasciano dubbi sulla qualità di questo prodotto che si presenta come una delle
novità più interessanti e originali di questo midseason 2013.

Il venticinquenne Leonardo da Vinci è
un ragazzo che vive nella Firenze rinascimentale. Brillante artista ed inventore è anche un sognatore ed un
idealista, abile spadaccino e seduttore. Leonardo dovrà vedersela con un misterioso culto conosciuto come i Figli di
Mitra.
